Terms of use

Last updated: 2 November 2026

Forecasts on C$GOAT are tested statistical output, not financial advice. Paid plans are coming soon; nothing is on sale yet.

C$GOAT is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve Corporation.

What C$GOAT is

C$GOAT, powered by the Quant Engine, is a website that tracks the Steam Market value of Counter-Strike 2 items, publishes a daily market paper, and shows forecasts from a statistical model called the Quant Engine. These terms apply when you use www.csgoat.co.za.

Accounts

You can sign in with Steam or create a website account. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You must give accurate information and be old enough to hold a Steam account (and in any case at least 13).

What you may and may not do

We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

No trading or selling on your behalf

C$GOAT cannot trade, sell, buy or move items, and never asks for your Steam password or trade links. It only reads public information. Any trade you make is made by you, on Steam.

Forecasts are not financial advice

Forecasts are the output of a tested statistical model and are not financial advice. Markets can move against any forecast. Past tests do not guarantee future results. Item prices can fall as well as rise, and you may lose money. Decide for yourself, and take your own advice before you buy or sell anything.

Paid plans

Paid plans are coming soon. Nothing is on sale today, and we do not take payments. If that changes we will publish the price and the terms of the plan before you are asked to pay.

No affiliation with Valve

C$GOAT is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve Corporation. Steam and Counter-Strike are trademarks of Valve Corporation. Item names and images belong to their owners and are used only to identify items.

Availability and changes

We try to keep the service running, but we do not promise it will always be available or error-free. Prices and data come from Steam and may be late, incomplete or wrong. We may change, pause or remove features, and we may update these terms. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.

Liability

C$GOAT is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses that come from using the service or relying on its prices, forecasts or papers, including trading losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the greatest extent the law permits. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under law that cannot be limited, such as the Consumer Protection Act where it applies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
